Rev
Delbert R. Brown is a native of Arkansas. He is married to the former
Lorraine Johnson of West Columbia, South Carolina and they have three
children.
He
acknowledges his call into the ministry in 1989, Lawton, OK. He was
ordained in 1992, Kruezburg Germany. He holds an Associate of Art Degree
from Central Texas College, an Associate of Science and a Bachelor of
Science from the University of Maryland, and an advance degree the
Bachelor of Theology (Th.B.) with Honors (Magna Cum Laude)
from American Baptist College of American Baptist Theological Seminary.
He is also a member of Who's Who among Students in America University
and Colleges.
Reverend Brown
serves as Pastor of the Concord Missionary Baptist Church Clarksville
TN., Moderator of Cumberland River South Kentucky Middle Tennessee
Baptist District Association, member of the Executive Pastor's Board of
the National Baptist Convention of America Incorporated, Chairman of the
Young Pastor Board of the National Baptist Convention of Tennessee
Congress of Christian Workers, and Instructor of Bible Theology,
Systematic Theology, Church Growth, Homiletic, and Baptist Faith and
Message at the Clarksville Baptist School of Religion.
Some of his
previous service includes Education Board of the National Baptist
Convention of America Incorporated, 2nd Vice Moderator and
Correspondence Secretary, for Cumberland River South Kentucky Middle
Tennessee Baptist District Association, President of the Pastor's
Conference for the Cumberland River South Kentucky Middle Tennessee
Baptist District Association, Dean of the Clarksville Baptist School of
Religion, Education Committee Chair for the Clarksville Branch of the
NAACP. He established and Pastored a mission church in Bahrain Saudia
Arabia, Pastored Kreuzburg Community Chapel , Kreuzburg, Germany, and
Pastored Ogburn Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Clarksville TN.
Rev. Brown is
a retired veteran of twenty years of service with the United States
Army. His awards and decoration include The Army Commendation Medal (six
oak leaf cluster), Meritorious Service Medal ( third oak leaf cluster),
and The Bronze Star for service to his country during the Persian Gulf
War.
